Physics / Engineer Intern

Leidos, is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assist an engineering team through internship in our Huntsville, Alabama area. This position will provide correlation support, and any analysis expertise to the Leidos Universal Stage Adapter project.

Primary Responsibilities

Organize Data received from CT scanning. Correlate images provided by UT scanning into ImageJ into spreadsheets and graphs.Provide correlation data reports with deviations to the Nondestructive Testing Engineer.Provide suggestions to subsequent iterative processes.Develop a summary of findings and key metrics, and be capable of providing clarification of results to the team leader and other team members.Must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.Be willing to assist with other programs if time permits.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must minimally be a second semester, second year Physics, Engineering, or other Science degree.Willingness to learn about Materials & Processes, and Nondestructive Testing.Candidate either must have demonstrated experience or be willing to learn how to read and interpret data reports in accordance to written procedures, and suggest changes to the procedures when necessary. Candidate must have basic computer skills including use of Microsoft office products.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL areaKnowledge of NDT is a plusSome local travel will be requiredOriginal Posting Date:2024-12-12

Pay Range:Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
