Description We are seeking a PIA P& C Support Specialist (Tier II) for a short term contract employment opportunity. Located in Rochester, New York, the chosen candidate will be responsible for delivering advanced customer service and support to both internal staff and external clients. This role requires a high level of knowledge in the field of property and casualty insurance products, and the candidate will be addressing user questions and problems related to these products.
Responsibilities:
• Addressing questions and resolving problems related to the use of technical products by external users.
• Keeping an accurate record of all internal and external communications.
• Improving existing processes and procedures, and making necessary recommendations to management.
• Investigating and resolving product and service issues related to the Property & Casualty suite of products from any internal/external clients.
• Using multiple software applications in conjunction with carrier and bureau websites to respond to all client inquiries.
• Continuously staying updated with all changes pertaining to various internal product offerings, regulatory changes, policy changes, and insurance industry developments in support of client satisfaction.
• Participating in assigned projects or required training.
• Maintaining and managing detail-oriented relations with clients, insurance carriers, and internal/external clients to ensure client satisfaction.
• Responding to inbound calls and placing outbound calls as required by the business unit relating to Property & Casualty suite of products and/or the Workers’ Compensation Payment Services.
• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Keeping accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with Reporting, able to create, manage, and present data effectively.
• Ability to provide Training to team members and other stakeholders on various procedures and policies.
• Knowledge of Procedures and Policy, ensuring company guidelines and regulations are upheld.
• Experience with Answering Inbound Calls and managing Inbound Outbound Calls, maintaining a detail oriented and helpful demeanor.
• Understanding of Insurance procedures and terms, particularly within the Property sector.
• Demonstrated ability in managing Client Relations, nurturing relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Strong Research Analysis skills, able to gather, analyze, and present data effectively.
• Familiarity with the functioning of a Business Unit and its associated activities.
• Comfortable with Enhancement tasks, striving for continual improvement in processes and practices.
• Proficiency with HRIS System, managing and maintaining employee data.
• Understanding of Bonds and their application in the insurance industry.
• Fluency with HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems, ensuring effective management of employee data.
• Ability to create and manage Exhibits, presenting information in a clear and engaging manner.
• Experience working with Insurance Carriers and understanding their requirements and processes.
• Excellent External Communication skills, able to represent the company effectively to external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Software Application relevant to the role, ensuring efficient task management.
• Knowledge of Worker's Compensation procedures and regulations.
• Experience with Paychex software, managing payroll and HR processes.
• Understanding of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and its implications.
