1st Shift Picker Packer $17/hour

Job Description

As a Shipping Specialist, you will be responsible for efficiently picking and packing items using an RF scanner. You will ensure inventory accuracy and follow specific customer guidelines, ensuring that the oldest stock is packed first. This role requires consistent lifting and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

ResponsibilitiesUse an RF scanner to locate and pick items.Achieve a pick/pack rate of 4-500 pieces per hour, totaling approximately 14,000 pieces weekly.Report inventory discrepancies to supervision.Pack items based on the oldest available date.Adhere to specific customer guidelines.Prohibit cell phone usage while working.Log in and out of equipment once tasks are completed.Share equipment with other team members in the facility.Essential SkillsAbility to lift 20 lbs consistently for an 8-hour day.Previous experience in a fast-paced work environment.Comfortable using computers and RF scanners.Experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, data entry, loading, picking, cycle counts, unloading, production, order picking, stocking, labeling, and warehouse shipping.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious pick and pack experience.Experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations.Proficient use of RF scanners.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a large 123,000 sq foot warehouse with approximately 40 employees. The position is on the first shift from 8 am to 4 pm. Overtime is infrequent and typically voluntary, mainly occurring on Saturdays. No steel-toed shoes are required, and employees can wear shorts and cut-offs as long as they are tasteful and appropriate.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
