Job Description
This position involves working on the Discovery building for the Engineering building at the UT campus. The job includes performing pipefitting duties with a focus on carbon and steel piping within chilled water systems. The role requires working outdoors and at heights, making it essential for candidates to be comfortable with such conditions.
ResponsibilitiesPerform carbon and steel pipefitting duties.Work with chilled water systems and carbon steel piping ranging from 4-30\".Work outdoors all day and at heights, including on roofs.Contribute to various tasks beyond pipefitting as needed, with a positive attitude and quick learning ability.Essential Skills2-5 years of commercial service pipefitting experience.Comfortable with small spaces and heights.Experience with plumbing, service plumbing, pipe fitting, fabrication, blueprint reading, welding, and industrial piping.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to perform tasks related to sinks, toilets, and general service plumbing.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment involves outdoor commercial construction jobs. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 am to 3 pm, with the possibility of working Saturdays and overtime. The role requires being comfortable with heights and working in various weather conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00
