**Job Title: Pipe Fitter** **Job Description** As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting large pipes of 8 inches and up. You will perform saddle cuts, use a cutting torch, tape measure, beveler, and tack welding. Additionally, you will read blueprints to ensure accurate installation and assembly. **Responsibilities** + Fit large pipes of 8 inches and up. + Perform saddle cuts and use a cutting torch. + Utilize tape measure and beveler for precise measurements. + Conduct tack welding. + Read and interpret blueprints for accurate pipe installation and assembly. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience as a pipe fitter in a manufacturing company. + Ability to pass a written pipe fitter test. + Possession of a blue book. + Experience with tack welding. + Proficiency in saddle cuts and pipe beveling. + Ability to read blueprints. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a pipe fabricator and assembler. + Skills in pipe assembly, tack welding, and fitting. **Work Environment** This role is based in a manufacturing shop that is non-climate controlled. Candidates must be open to working day or night shifts, each starting at 5 AM or 5 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $31.00/hr.
