**Job Title: Pipefitter Assistant** **Job Description** Assist pipefitters in the installation, assembly, and fabrication of mechanical piping systems for a large expansion project at Geisinger Hospital in Wilkes Barre. Perform a variety of tasks essential to the overall project. Must have former pipe experience. **Responsibilities** + Assist in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping for water distribution systems. + Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, or hangers. + Measure, cut, thread, and assemble new pipes. + Perform tasks related to pipe fitting, threading, and general construction. + Work with blueprints and perform tasks such as welding, brazing, and installing piping systems. **Essential Skills** + Experience in pipe fitting. + Ability to thread pipes. + Knowledge of construction practices. + Experience with bracket and clamp installations. + Skills in pipe installation and fitting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with layout, assembly, and installation of piping for water distribution systems. + Ability to secure pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, or hangers. + Comfortable with pipe runs, hot taps, and assembling valves. + Ability to interpret and work with blueprints. + Experience in welding and brazing. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy paid holidays even while on contract.
