Aerotek's client is looking for Pipe Layers to join their team for a project at Fort. Meade, MD.

Job Responsibilities:

Lay pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mainsPerform any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal jointsIn addition to laying pipe, the pipe layer also works with laborers to dig trenches for/around existing utilitiesInstall or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levelDig trenches for/around existing utilitiesAssist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction (generally for wet utilities [water/sewer])Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machine and hand toolsCheck slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasersConnect pipes and seal joints using glue, cement, gaskets and/or flangesCover pipes with other earth materials / aggregatesOther general labor and construction related duties are requiredPerform other tasks duties, as assigned

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
