Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our team. This physically demanding role involves working in trench/ditch settings, laying utility pipes, and ensuring precise grading and alignment. The ideal candidate will have experience with pipe installation, heavy lifting, and trench safety. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with a team and operator.

Responsibilities:

Set bedding rock and lay utility pipes in trench/ditch settings.Direct operators to avoid pre-existing utility lines.Grade and set rock, align pipes and cut the ditch to grade.Dig with a shovel in wet ditches and use a laser to determine grading and depths.Lift and handle heavy materials like rock, pipe, and equipment.Record footage of pipe installation and signal to the operator.

Skills/Qualifications:

Experience in laying pipe and working in trench environments.2+ years of experience in pipe laying, especially in sewer/stormwater fields.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Experience with pipe fitting, excavation, heavy equipment, or stormwater installation.

Work Environment:

Projects range from 5 to 40 feet deep and follow OSHA guidelines using trench boxes.Work with a team of 2-4 people and communicate effectively with the operator.Dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt (no sleeveless shirts), and steel-toe boots.PPE provided: hard hat, safety glasses, vest, and gloves.Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with occasional heavy overtime required during the week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
