**Job Title: Pipefitter**
**Job Description**
The Pipefitter lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and production and processing systems. The Pipefitter will also be responsible for installing mechanical equipment and performing tie-ins to steam and process piping.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems and related equipment.
+ Install mechanical equipment and perform tie-ins to steam and process piping.
+ Ensure proper functioning of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
+ Maintain accurate documentation of work activities.
+ Read and interpret instructions to plan and perform work independently.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in industrial maintenance and pipe installation.
+ Proficiency in pipe welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents.
+ Strong planning and execution skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Craft certification or relevant certification with experience.
+ Experience as a welder or millwright.
+ Ability to perform heavy lifting.

**Work Environment**
Candidates will be working in an industrial setting. The environment may be dirty, and heavy lifting is required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Kearny, New Jersey.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
