Job Description
Seeking two experienced commercial pipefitters to join our team for the SWIFT Water project in Newport News.
ResponsibilitiesInstall and repair piping systems for commercial buildings.Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems.Cut, thread, and hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.Essential SkillsProficiency in pipe fitting, construction, and industrial piping systems.Experience in pipe welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial pipefitting.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Good physical condition and stamina.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role involves working on-site at the SWIFT Water project in Newport News. The work environment includes outdoor and indoor settings, with the use of various tools and equipment. Standard work hours apply, with potential for overtime depending on project needs. Proper safety gear and attire are required at all times.
