**Job Title: Pipefitter**
**Job Description**
Pipefitters/welders will be working on a new construction middle school. They must have experience in commercial pipefitting and welding.
**Responsibilities**
+ Plan installation or repair of piping systems including cutting, threading, and bending.
+ Lay-out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair various types of pipe systems.
+ Mount hangers and brackets as required.
+ Install valves, couplings, and other fittings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Welding
+ Construction
+ MIG welding
+ 6G pipefitting
+ Pipe welding
+ Reading blueprints
+ Brazing
+ Pipe fitting
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must have a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience performing soldering and brazing of carbon steel pipe and copper.
+ Experience with schedule 40 steel pipe ranging from 2.5 inches to 8 inches.
+ Ability to read prints.
+ 6G certification or ability to pass a 6G weld test.

**Work Environment**
The majority of the work will be performed outside at the new construction job site. Expect hot conditions in the summer and cold conditions in the winter.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $34.00/hr.
