**Job Title: Pipefitter** **Job Description** We are currently seeking experienced Pipefitters with a minimum of 2 to 3 years in the field. Ideal candidates will have recent experience in layout and installing piping systems, preferably in a food manufacturing setting. Pipefitters will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing piping systems in factories and plants. This includes disassembling and removing damaged or worn pipes, and installing and maintaining gauges, switches, and valves. Candidates are expected to provide their own basic tools, while the majority of necessary tools for installations will be provided by the company. Reporting will be to the project manager and foreman. **Responsibilities** + Layout and install piping systems in factories and plants. + Read and interpret blueprints for pipe installation. + Inspect, maintain, and repair piping systems. + Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipes. + Install and maintain gauges, switches, and valves. + Provide own basic tools for pipefitting. + Report to project manager and foreman. **Essential Skills** + Experience threading pipe. + Ability to read blueprints and lay out materials. + Experience installing piping systems, gauges, and pressure meters. + Valid driver’s license for project commutes. + Willingness to work weekends (Saturday overtime, Sunday double time). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with pressure release valves and regulated valves. + Basic welding experience is a plus. **Why Work Here?** We prioritize the well-being of our employees and their families by offering comprehensive and affordable benefits. Some shop work is needed, but most of the work will be out in the field. The shift typically starts at 6:00am until finish, with some days starting earlier. Candidates must be okay with some overnight travel but will be home every weekend. Travel compensation includes $50/day for travel over 2 hours and $62/day for overnight stays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
