Pipefitter & Equipment Operator
**Job Title: Pipefitter & Equipment Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled pipefitter with 5 years of experience and 1-2 years of equipment operation experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems and operating various heavy equipment. **Responsibilities** + Laying out, measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes to create complete piping systems according to blueprints and specifications. + Operating equipment such as graders, scrapers, bulldozers, backhoes, lifts, tractors, or front-end loaders. + Inspecting existing pipe systems for leaks, damage, or wear and performing necessary repairs or replacements. + Accurately interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to understand the layout and design of the piping system. + Utilizing various hand and power tools like pipe cutters, threading machines, pipe wrenches, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and join pipes. + Creating secure connections between pipes using different methods like threading, soldering, welding, or gluing depending on the application. + Mounting pipe hangers and brackets to securely support the piping system. + Testing installed pipes for leaks using pressure gauges and other methods. + Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures while working on the job site. **Essential Skills** + 5 years of pipefitting experience + 1-2 years of equipment operation experience + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings + Proficient in using hand and power tools for pipe cutting, threading, and joining + Knowledge of creating secure pipe connections through threading, soldering, welding, or gluing **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with graders, scrapers, bulldozers, backhoes, lifts, tractors, or front-end loaders + Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a construction or industrial setting **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive wages, comprehensive medical coverage paid by the company, and an in-house apprentice school fully funded by the company. The dress code includes appropriate safety gear as required by the job site. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
