Pipeline Engineer
Job Title: Pipeline Engineer/Project Manager 3

Job Description

The Project Manager 3 / Pipeline Coordinator 3 (GIS) will be responsible for leading and managing projects that create and implement new GIS processes to support Transmission and Large Pipeline data. This role will involve working closely with various business units, stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure that GIS processes are effectively integrated and optimized for operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

o            Lead and manage Large Pipeline related GIS projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.

o            Collaborate with Transmission and Large Pipeline Operating business units to understand their data requirements and operational needs.

o            Develop and implement new GIS processes to support the integration and management of Transmission and Large Pipeline data.

o            Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless incorporation of GIS processes.

o            Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

o            Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or changes in scope.

o            Facilitate training sessions and workshops for end-users to ensure effective utilization of new GIS processes and tools.

o            Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in GIS and pipeline operations.

o            Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to GIS data management and pipeline operations.

Requirements:

o            Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

o            A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Pipeline and/or GIS.

o            Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

o            Experience working with Transmission and Large Pipeline data and operations is highly desirable.

o            Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

o            Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

o            Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

o            Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

o            PMP, GISP, or PE

Job Description

The position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring attendance at the Atlanta office Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with flexibility for additional days as needed for meetings. The office is a cubicle-style environment, with around 40 total employees on the GIS team. The role is highly collaborative, involving interaction with Environmental, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering teams, as well as external clients. Core business hours are 6:30 AM-7:30 PM, with flexible start times between 7-9 AM. Overtime is discretionary and determined at the start of each week. The work environment also includes flexible working hours, the possibility of working four 10-hour days one week per month, and a team-oriented culture with regular team happy hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
