**Job Description: Machine Operator and Pallet Builder** **Position Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Operator and Pallet Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and assembling pallets according to company standards and safety regulations. **Pay:** $18-$21/hr **Shift:** Monday-Friday, 3 PM - 11:30 PM **Key Responsibilities:** + Operate various types of machinery including but not limited to saws, nail guns, and pallet stackers. + Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other written instructions or diagrams to accurately complete tasks. + Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. + Assemble and construct pallets using hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner. + Inspect equipment and perform basic maintenance to ensure functionality and prevent downtime. + Maintain a clean and organized work area by sweeping, disposing of scrap material, and storing tools properly. + Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations regarding the handling of equipment and materials. + Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production schedules, quality issues, and safety concerns. **Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent. + Proven experience as a machine operator or similar role in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred. + Ability to operate and maintain various machinery and tools. + Basic understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. + Good physical condition and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in a standing position for extended periods. + Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges. + Willingness to work evening shifts and overtime as needed. **Benefits:** + Competitive hourly wage with potential for advancement based on performance. + Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans. + Paid time off and holiday pay. + Ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field. **Join Our Team:** If you are a motivated individual with a passion for craftsmanship and a commitment to quality, we encourage you to apply for the Machine Operator and Pallet Builder position.
