Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Pipeline/Pump Station Practice Leader are technical and client leadership relative to water, wastewater and stormwater hydraulicstructures and pipelines as well serve as a company-wide mentor/advisor to more junior level staff onconveyance design and construction projects.

More specific duties include but are not limited to planning, directing and monitoring technical aspects of larger and mid-sized pump station and pipeline design projects which contain a high degree of technical complexity. This person will also be involved with client relationships with specific focus on relaying HDR’s pump station and pipeline credentials. Specific involvement including marketing, contractual, design and production meetings; will conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with other Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines; may be involved with coordinating staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.

Leading the development and enhancement of client-valued, market driventechnology approaches to enable, sustain and grow market share and shareholder value.Develop long term strategic plan in their respective practice areaSupport project delivery by reviewing Senior QA/QC involvement on key projects to ensure engagement and successful project deliveryWorking in partnership with Global Leaders and regional marketing, business development, sales, project delivery teams, and across service teams and other business groups as appropriate, to develop and deliver winning solutions to meet client needs. Be an active liaison between the various global practices.Assist as needed in strategic pursuits in the region.
Working with the Talent Manager, Operations Leaders and HR function to attract, develop, and retain the best and brightest.
Knowledge management to capture and promote best practice and innovation.Will work with Business/Accounting Managers, Project Controllers or Company Controllers and the Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews. Additionally will be responsible for implementing QA/QC procedures and for the execution of training for personnel as established.

This position may be located in any HDR office location.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related fieldA minimum of10 years of design experience working on large, complex water, wastewater and stormwater pumping stations and pipelines.Committed to quality, improvement and HDR valuesMaintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience experienced in development and management of diverse teamsWorks cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class effortsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Actively engaged in professional or industry associations such as Hydraulic Institute to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand

The expected compensation range depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.

The expected compensation range for this position in California is $143,451.00 - $242,190.00 annually.

The expected compensation range for this position in Colorado is $143,451.00 - $204,930.00 annually.

The expected compensation range for this position in Hawaii is $136,930.50- $195,615.00 annually.

The expected compensation range for this position in New York is $163,013.00 - $232,875.00 annually.

The expected compensation range for this position in Washington is $130,410.00- $214,245.00 annually.
