Piping Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Piping Designer to provide project leadership for our design team. This individual will report to the Project Manager and will offer advanced development, design, and drafting CAD support on various projects.

ResponsibilitiesWork with drafters to complete drawing sets to meet client requirementsPerform design and drafting checking, ensuring proper process flow, drafting standards, and CAD standardsLayout of P&IDsConduct As-Builts, site visits, and walkdown P&IDs, generating P&IDs from scratch where none are availableDevelop the design of complex piping models using basic information such as P&IDs, GA drawings, piping specifications, and equipment arrangements to create 3D modelsApply technical principles, theories, and concepts for the Oil and Gas industryReview and check project documents, piping layouts, orthographic drawings, and isometrics for scope, presentation, and technical accuracy prior to issuePrepare Bill of Material and other construction documentsDevelop hand isometric sketches in the field as well as isometric drawings from pipingEssential SkillsMinimum of 10 years of experienceExperience in Oil and Gas industryProficient with CADWorx, AutoCAD, Navis, and Microsoft ExcelGood communication skillsAbility to conceptualize and draw design details independently with minor instructionKnowledge of Piping design, P&ID, PFDs, and As-Built processesWork Environment

This position requires working in the office every day initially. There will be more flexibility later on, with the possibility of a hybrid work model. The manager wants candidates to be comfortable with being fully in the office at the start to demonstrate their commitment and interest in the role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00
