PIV-II Issuance Clerk
Summary The PIV- II Issuance Clerk is primarily responsible to work in the Visitor Center or other assigned office space and perform multiple service functions supporting FLETC personnel, their family members, civilian employees, and visitors. The PIV- II Issuance Clerk performs identification issuance administrative functions requiring a high degree of attention to detail, confidentiality and skill in various clerical areas and computer usage. Responsibilities Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies, and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner. Ability to routinely schedule appointments and work within the time allotted for each appointment, keeping individual appointments appraised of delay or other restrictions. Ensure that registrants are processed without any undue delays by adhering to appointment schedule in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) or as may be established by supervisors. Provides fingerprinting services for personnel receiving PIV-2 badges, or as otherwise directed, utilizing automated fingerprint equipment provided by the government, with zero deficiencies. Provides ID photograph services for personnel receiving PIV-2 badges, or as otherwise directed, utilizing photographic equipment provided by the government with zero deficiencies. Provides appropriate badge coding and access coding as may be required, and as stipulated by the government or supervisory personnel with zero deficiencies. Issue PIV-2 badges utilizing the Government provided badging systems in accordance with SOP. This includes, but not limited to students, FLETC staff, Partner Organization personnel, contractors, construction employees, distinguished visitors, visitors, etc. May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 21 years of age. 2 years’ experience in clerical or administration positions preferably with a civilian or military law enforcement organization or with a commercial security guard company. Must wear established uniform as provided by the company. U.S. Citizenship Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance if required by the contract. Have no record or history of illegal drug use, sale, possession, or manufacture during the previous five years. Have no felony convictions and no convictions that reflect on the individual’s reliability including those crimes classified under the Lautenberg Act. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions Be able to communicate clearly and precisely, both orally and in writing. Have excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills. Must be able to operate and understand the use of, camera equipment, signature capture devices, AFIS automated fingerprinting equipment, and access control coding equipment. Keyboarding speed of not less than 45 words per minute, after correction. Be able to work with minimum supervision, able to multi-task, and establish priorities. Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material. Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. Successfully completed all training and have obtained all required permits, licenses, certifications and security clearances for the site.
