Position Overview

As a Placement Site Engineer at Aecon International, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals to streamline project costs and mitigate risks, all while maintaining high standards of quality and adhering to building regulations.

 

*Placement terms can vary and be discussed with the students based on their program structure.

 

What You Will Do Here

Assist senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed testing, analysis, design or computation methods. Assist in designs, procurement, scheduling, production, transporting, installation, testing and commissioning of complex equipment. Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities Help Maintain field logs Assist in Interpretation of design/drawings for sub-trades installing material and equipment. Present design discrepancies to design consultants for resolution, prepare documentation, field design change requests, etc., as required. Help prepare and disseminate all required documentation records such as punch lists describing work items to be done, sketches of work already completed, material requirement calculations, etc. Help Prepare “as built” drawings as required. Support the site superintendent as required. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

 

What You Bring to the Team

Be enrolled in bachelor's degree in civil or building engineering Hold of full Driver’s License is preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills Strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team Organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multi-task/ Service orientated  Thrive on a fast paced-environment
