Planned Work Specialist – Corrosion
**JOB DESCRIPTION/POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES** **:** Planned Work Specialist Plans, organizes, and controls a defined portion of planned maintenance and service operations for various NASA, and Space Force facilities. Promote and perform in accordance with the Integrated Scheduling process and directions. Responsible for the overall short-term and daily planning, with scheduling of defined and assigned section/shop(s) maintenance activities. Recognizes schedule or resource conflicts and facilitates team resolution. Perform duties in compliance with Federal, State, local, NASA, and Space Force laws, regulations, and requirements and requirements and KSC/CCSFS energy management conservation regulations, collective bargaining agreements, security, safety, hurricane and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to business of the section working within the limits of established policy **REQUIRED SKILLS/SPECIAL TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS** **:** Assist in scheduling and assigning work for the employees assigned in their section/shop(s) • Perform detailed planning for all assigned work order activities within the contract, including maintaining plan information, status, progress, and close-out details as well as plan vs. actual variance details and recovery plans • Conduct daily schedule tie-ins with shop Supervision and Leads, updating Schedulers accordingly to remove completed work and extend carry over work to the following day • customer service and partnership within the organization to meet contractual obligations • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities • Ability to communicate with Management across the contract in verbal and written form • May provide technical work direction and/or clarification to the employees assigned in their section/shop(s) • Ability to multi-task; affect change of priorities based on the situation and maintain constant communications • Computer literate: proficient with Microsoft Office, knowledge of or ability to learn scheduling software applications; demonstrated skill with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems: MAXIMO and AKWIRE • Attend weekly scheduling meetings to troubleshoot/eliminate scheduling conflicts • Prepare shop schedules used to develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and partners with Scheduler/Planner for input into MAXIMO and AKWIRE • Audit application of contract metrics data to work orders and job plans to ensure quality of priority, method, materials, safety, crew size, and accuracy of metric timelines • Evaluate current work processes for maximum efficiency and make recommendations for improvement. • Establish asset locations, systems, equipment, and maintain obligations within the J-5 database • Perform all scheduling support for assigned shop(s), as well as collect and report progress, evaluate schedule variances, and adjust plans and tasking as required • Support investigating and obtaining materials and, delivery times, and updated reports as required. Possess Universal EPA 608 Refrigerant Certification **EDUCATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE** **:** Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of craft experience preferred or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience • 4 years minimum experience as a lead Craftsman and a possess or willing to obtain a minimum NACE Level 2 Certification • Must possess general knowledge of office routines to include scheduling, general office administration, and a working knowledge of standard computer software • Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office, knowledge of: MAXIMO and/or AKWIRE • Strong customer service and partnership with the business units within the organization • Able to interact with customers and coworkers in a courteous, professional, and effective manner • Must possess good oral and written communication skills Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
