As a Planner you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tSchedule Management: Read production, heating, or rolling schedules to determine processing specifications.\r\n\tProcess Monitoring: Observe material processing; read gauges, clocks, and automatic recorders; record and compare information with schedules to ensure compliance with processing specifications.\r\n\tDeviation Reporting: Inform supervisors of deviations from processing instructions; document problems, procedures, and production.\r\n\tReport Writing: Write reports describing processing delays and deviations.\r\n\tDeviation Review: Review production deviation reports, corrective actions, and root causes of deviations to ensure feedback into the ERP system.\r\n\tCross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate cross-functionally for maintenance and repair of machine units and tooling.\r\n\tDie Loading Coordination: Coordinate with management to load dies for the next day’s production.\r\n\tWorkload Management: Maintain current backlog of workload and escalate deviations from the production schedule with proposed corrective actions.\r\n\tProduction Reporting: Report production and employee hours.\r\n\tSchedule Preparation: Prepare daily and weekly production schedules to ensure company targets are achieved.\r\n\tFurnace Management: Complete furnace light-up sheets.\r\n\tInventory Management: Identify tooling or material shortages and follow up with management.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a Full-Time 1st Shift Opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $21-$34.75

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tMaterial Knowledge: Familiarity with all types of materials and their characteristics regarding forging.\r\n\tInterpretation Skills: Ability to interpret shop travelers, drawings, and procedures.\r\n\tDocument Interpretation: Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.\r\n\tReport Writing: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.\r\n\tPublic Speaking: Skill in speaking effectively before managers or other Company employees.\r\n\tAttendance: Ability to work assigned schedule with minimal absences.\r\n\tMathematical Skills: Competence in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.\r\n\tAlgebra and Geometry: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\r\n\tProblem-Solving: Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.\r\n\tInstruction Interpretation: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\r\n\r\n\r\n
