Description Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Syracuse client of his that is looking to hire a Planner. This is a succession planning position so you're walking into a great situation with a lot of stability and opportunity for growth. Responsibilities: • Efficiently manage and schedule production to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization. • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales departments to align production plans with demand forecasts. • Monitor and adapt production schedules based on changes in production capacity, material availability, or customer demand. • Oversee inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to prevent overstocking or shortages. • Work closely with procurement to ensure materials are delivered in a timely manner to support production schedules. • Regularly conduct inventory audits and analyze trends to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency. • Forecast material requirements based on production plans and historical data. • Resolve supplier-related issues such as late deliveries or quality concerns. • Identify cost-saving opportunities in material sourcing and inventory management. • Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. • Generate and distribute reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery, inventory turns, and production efficiency. • Participate in initiatives to improve planning processes, production workflows, and overall supply chain performance. Requirements • Current and relevant experience in a Planning role is required. • Strong Communication skills are necessary. • Understanding and adherence to Compliance norms and standards is required.
