POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hardin Street Marine located in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, is seeking a Maintenance Planner. This position is responsible for supporting maintenance with troubleshooting and repair scope for marine/shoreside equipment, developing detailed job plans, ordering material and/or equipment to effectively execute the routine maintenance work in a safe and economical manner. The Planner coordinates between Operations, Logistics and Maintenance to effectively plan, schedule, and execute the work.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:
+ Planners should be proficient in SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook
+ Planner performs all types planning and inspection on Marine/Shoreside equipment as well as the barge cleaning operations.
+ Planner must build job plans that clearly show special instructions and required documentation such as MOC information, required skill crafts and duration, specialty tools, equipment and reserve or create purchase orders for necessary components.
+ Have good communication skills to have communications with Maintenance Supervision, Logistics, Operations and third-party facilities.
+ Acts as a safety leader. Ensures MPC policies and practices are followed.
+ Proactively reduce maintenance backlog, ensure preventative maintenance and USCG compliance, and aid with the resolution of operational issues.
+ Assist in identifying warehouse stock items that have gone obsolete to delete these from stock. Also identify the upgraded or replacement items to replace these in the future.
+ Help investigate and resolve chronic mechanical reliability issues, along with our Reliability Engineering group.
+ Responsible for identifying repairs to be performed by off-site repair facilities and coordinating through to execute these repairs.
+ Identify and coordinate onsite repairs by an outside contractor/vendor when required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ Must be proficient with Microsoft: Excel, Word and Outlook and SAP.
+ Must have good communication skills.
+ Must have good organizational, planning, troubleshooting and problem- solving skills.
+ Must be a proactive, self-started, detailed oriented individual with the ability to identify areas that need improvement.
