We are seeking a **Planner/Scheduler** to join our **Cambridge, ON** team! The Planner/Scheduler works to develop project or department schedules that will support Shop plans and customer orders, as well as permit effective execution of work scope. **Accountabilities** **Create detailed project schedules using P6:** • Understand and utilize company standard Coding of activities; • Understand and utilize company standard Calendars; • Ability to read a drawing and understand general scope of work statements; • Establish activities and durations with buy-in from project team leads; • Work with Supply Management to identify and plan for all mid to long lead items; • Incorporate customer schedules into plan for tracking of long lead items; • Create manufacturing plan based on drawing(s) and fabrication outline; • Incorporate any/all internal and external milestones. **Track Project Progress:** • Integrate recover schedule with weekly schedules and, if necessary, reissue work lists. • Gather data and analyze impact to plan; • Work closely with Project Managers to establish and maintain project schedules; • Identify and manage all critical path and close to critical path activities; • Update internal PMIS Component Tracking system with current shop need dates for materials; attend bi-weekly meetings and identify critical items; • Update required by dates on requisitions in SAP as they are issued; • Work with Supply Management, Source Assurance and Incoming Inspection to ensure timely availability of materials to support schedule; • Participates in and at times leads project planning and scheduling review meetings; • Prepare short, medium and long term lookahead plans to project team on regular basis; • Prepare and issue Customer schedules and reports as per contract requirements; • Knowledgeable of scope control and change management and has demonstrated ability to incorporate directed changes into schedule baseline; • Create reports to aid Project Management in decision making; • Identify potential delays and provide prompt response; • Propose strategies for maintaining projects on time; • Recovery plan development as required. **Resource Management:** • Ensure all Manufacturing activities have correct resource assigned for the described task; • Ensure budgeted man hours in the plan match the SAP budget reports; • Every quarter provide a breakdown of man hours by resource for projects; this should align with the current Earned Value reports. **Manufacturing Tracking and Reporting:** • Release in SAP and track all Work Orders for each project; • Track and manage all NR’s (non-conformance); update project schedule when impacts are identified; • Work with Material Coordinator(s) to ensure all materials are staged at work area; • Able to walk on shop floor, find components, identify current stage of work and equate that to an activity and % complete in the project schedule; • Work with Shop Supervision to identify any missing or late materials; • Help identify and resolve machine or equipment bottlenecks. **Knowledge & Experience** • University or College education in Engineering, Materials or Operations Management. • Must have P6 experience. • Experience with SAP preferred but not required. • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. • Ability to work with precision and accuracy, demonstrating excellent attention-to-detail and excellent record keeping skills. • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with project team members. **WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:** Ensuring the well-being of our employees is our priority and we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits for our employees and their families. + **Comprehensive Health Benefits** – Including health, dental, vision, and disability coverage to keep you feeling your best. + **Secure Your Future** – Defined Contribution Pension Plan and an optional Company-matched retirement savings plans (RRSP/TFSA/EPSP) + **Work-Life Balance** – Flexible hybrid schedules and compressed workweek option available + **Help Grow Our Team** – Earn generous referral bonuses with our two-tiered **Employee Referral Program** ($1,500 and $3,000!). + **Invest in Your Education** – Up to $5,250 USD per year through our **Educational Refund Plan** . + **Professional Development** – Gain access to training, certifications, and growth opportunities to advance your career. + **Your Wellness Matters** – Enjoy gym membership discounts and access to mental health support programs. + **A Welcoming Workplace** – Join a diverse, inclusive, and supportive culture that celebrates you. + **Fun & Connection** – Engage in team-building activities organized by our Social Committee. The base salary range for this position in [[Ontario]] at the start of employment is expected to be between $[[71,000]] and $[[106,000]] per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
