Prudential’s Retirement Strategies organization, which is comprised of Retirement and Annuities businesses, is seeking a highly motivated, process improvement oriented, and results driven Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist to support the cost management process. Our Cost Optimization & Performance Measurement (COPM) team is responsible for planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic initiative support for the business’s expenses.
 

This position is responsible for the analysis of results and forecasts for Operating expenses, as well as the support of management reporting / forecasting activities and quarterly external reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities include analysis of quarterly results, executive presentations, business partner support, and coordination across the COPM organization to understand financial drivers with attention to sharing information at the appropriate level with various Retirement Strategies and Corporate teams.

Additionally, this role will have visibility into improvements related to the overall enterprise expense transformation where we are integrating Anaplan based modeling and using new tools such as HERMES for reporting and presentations.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

Assist in the consolidation of expense data and development of business driver analysis for multiple stakeholdersProduce actionable, insightful analytics to facilitate transparency, as well as assist with executive presentations to communicate business unit resultsIdentify and support the impact of shared/empowered and indirect expenses on the businessSupport of the expense allocation and DAC processesMaintain and champion the control environment for the team, including supporting key controls processes, Internal Audit requests, EUCS (end user computing solutions), Model Risk Management, and other necessary controlsUnderstand how business drivers impact models, incorporate this understanding into forward looking output and analysis
 

What you'll need:

Undergraduate business degree in Finance, Accounting or related business fields3+ years of experience in forecasting, planning and analysis, and financial reporting experience Experience working in Financial Services industry, particularly with Life Insurance, Annuities, Retirement and Asset ManagementAbility to understand business fundamentals and business strategyAbility to interpret financial results extracting trends to provide valuable insights to the businesses and Senior ManagementStrong and concise communication and presentation skills and ability to present to Senior Management with a strong executive presenceAbility to build relationships and collaborate extensively with key business partners and stakeholders to drive executionAgile and organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple demandsAbility to identify opportunities to better leverage existing and emerging technologies to complete tasks more efficiently and effectivelyProficiency in Microsoft Excel

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $72,900.00 to $108,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
