Planning Automation SME, Planning & Expansion
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Brazil is looking for an experienced professional to lead the design, scoping, implementation and adoption of new planning systems for AMZL.

The Planning Automation SME is responsible for implementing new planning tools for AMZL capacity planning activities. Tools such as CTO (Channel Topology Optimizer), O-Treat, Caps Automation and ALPS are required to improve the effectiveness, accuracy and scalability of planning activities within AMZL. This role is responsible for understanding internal processes, revise those processes, gather systems requirements and write BRDs. They interact directly with Tech and Product teams to ensure that the tools are adapted to AMZL BR reality, making benchmarks with other geos, and ensuring timely implementation. They interact with local Capacity Planning team and Ops stakeholders to ensure systems adoption, calibration and change management.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work across disciplines, organizations, and geographies, translating complex technical and operational concepts for varied audiences. You must think big, move fast, and pivot frequently in a dynamic environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Benchmarking with other goes to understand available systems to automate last mile planning processes;
- Map, understand and document internal AMZL planning processes, identifying opportunities to automate and/or reduce manual work;
- Scope, define and document requirements to implement new systems available;
- Work with product teams to ensure prioritization of AMZL Brazil in global roll-out timelines, calculating entitlement and benefits of launch;
- Work internally with capacity planning team and other transportation teams to align processes which require cross-functional alignment;
- Create and calibrate the inputs to be used in the new systems, analyze and validate outputs to ensure accuracy of systems recommendations;
- Plan and execute transition in planning processes, from manual to automated, ensuring adoption and measuring benefits of adoption;
- Lead internal efforts in AMZL to improve reporting, creation of new metrics, in special metrics related to volume and capacity planning, forecasting and caps management. Work with BI teams to deploy changes and improvements;
- Create new dashboards internally where necessary.

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to homes and businesses across the planet. Within AMZL Brazil, the Planning & Expansion (P&E) team overlooks 3 main areas in support to AMZL´s operation and growth: (1) Jurisdiction planning and management, driving the growth and optimization of our delivery/pick-up coverage and topology; (2) Capacity planning, ensuring adequate capacity in short/medium/long term to maximize attainment of volume within AMZL´s jurisdiction; and (3) Expansion initiatives, coordinating local efforts on “big rock” projects that enable new types of operations, new sales and delivery channels, modes of transport (Fleet types, micromobility) and end-to-end programmatic coordination of AMZL´s network expansion.
