We are looking for a highly driven individual that will dispatch and expedite orders through the manufacturing process from the time of ordering materials until it is complete in a safe and efficient manner to aid in the fabrication process of Valmont products. Work in a cross-functional reporting structure that assists scheduling, shipping, material handling, maintenance, manufacturing and finishing, while interfacing with admin departments, other sites, vendors, marketing, engineering, and purchasingEffectively plan and organize the processing of orders while dealing with the many varied situations encountered in the production processIssue shop packets and computer reports from the office area to the designated area in the Manufacturing shopCoordinate completion of the machine load report, coordinate feedback to scheduling regarding potential reschedules, overloads and other anticipated problemsCoordinate and assure the prompt resolution of lost or damaged materialStatus and expedite shipping shortages, while at the same time maintaining close communications with departmental supervisors, leads and production control in regards to loading availability and critical shipmentsMaintain a safe and productive working environmentOther duties as assigned by the Operations Planner

What it takes

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalentOne year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentOne year of previous experience with MRP systems such as IFS and Oracle DiscovererBasic understanding of Production Control Techniques and proceduresStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft OutlookStrong organizational skills, ability to multitask and interpersonal skillsThe ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructionsThe ability to perform basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividingRead, write and speak English effectivelyMust have a high awareness for safety at all timesThe ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive mannerMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results

Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

Associate degree or higher in Business or a related fieldOne year of previous experience in production scheduling or dispatching3 years of previous experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
