We are assisting a leading contractor in their search for an experienced Planning Manager who will lead a Data Centre project planning and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. As a Planning Manager of a Data Centre project your work includes a wide range of projects including new build, fit out, refurbishment and capacity upgrades. As an ideal candidate you will have strong analytical skills, excellent leadership abilities and a proven record of accomplishments in successfully managing and planning large-scale projects.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:   

Prepare accurate project plans & schedules in collaboration with project stakeholders including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.  

Supervise & lead the successful delivery of projects together with Project Management Partners with the intent of securing repeat business.  

Record and document project milestones, deliverables, and critical paths to track project timelines and development.  

Prepare accurate schedules to ensure logical, compliant and project specific programs.  

Work closely with contractors, undertaking tender analysis and reporting to clients with recommendations related to schedule submissions.  

Mastery of project management software such as Primavera P6 or ASTA to create and manage project schedules, including resource & task allocation and other relevant software.  

Work closely with project teams to identify resource requirements, including labour materials, equipment, and subcontractors.  

Assign resources effectively to ensure maximum use and productivity while minimising conflicts and deficiencies.  

Look after availability and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in project priorities.  

Prepare updated progress reports & dashboards to communicate schedule status, milestones, and critical issues to project stakeholders.  

Profound understanding of testing and commissioning process and skills to audit commissioning process with input from the project team and align commissioning information into integrated master schedules.  

Degree in Construction Management/ Engineering or related field.  

Notable years of proven accomplishments in construction planning ideally in delivering mission critical projects as either a consultant, lead contractor or client-side Project/Senior/Lead Planner. 

Data Centre project experience is desirable.  

Proficiency in scheduling software like Primavera P6, Microsoft 365 suite and 4D modelling like Syncro. 

Strong understanding and experience in Delay Analysis Techniques.  

Strong analytical, organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.  

Detail- oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
