Job PostingParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning Manager - Construction to join our team! In this role you will manage the program-wide project control/ scheduling activities and maintaining the Program Master Schedule. Developing the capability and supervising the performance for all program planning/scheduling development, analysis, reporting and progress
evaluation.
The position interfaces with the Client, Project Director, Contracts Managers, Design and Engineering team, Construction Directors, PMCM Consultants, and has oversight of all construction scheduling activities. Reports to the Senior Planning Manager.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provides guidance and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex planning problemsInterfaces with clients and PMCM consultants and attends regular meetings and provides statistical reportsManages a team of Planning Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze and evaluate project progress performance against an established schedule with critical milestonesAssesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippagesSupports/performs integration of scope, cost and schedule within the WBS and ensure mapping is accurate on an ongoing basisLeads the preparation and establishment of effective schedule management plans and procedures and monitors, refines, and improves the reporting and controls tools as requiredWorks with the Senior Planning Manager and the Project Controls Director on the development and maintenance of the program wide work breakdown structure (WBS)Leads the development and maintenance of the program wide integrated scheduleProvides necessary assistance to the project and client teams in planning, scheduling, and reporting on issues/progress of the worksAssists in developing the program’s procurement strategy and its associated phasing timelines and update it regularlyParticipates in the development of key milestones dates and schedule requirements in the RFPs for the design consultant and construction contractorsParticipates in the review and response to bidders’ queries during tender periodsParticipates in the weekly and monthly progress meetings with the contractors, supervision consultants and the clientCreates statistical reports for management on a recurring or one-of-a-kind basisPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:
