The Planning Master Scheduler is responsible for overseeing the development, coordination, and execution of the demand signal reports to meet customer demands, optimize inventory, and ensure operational efficiency. This role plays a critical part in balancing resources, time, and materials while ensuring production timelines are met. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, sales, and operations, to ensure all processes align with business goals.
Responsibilities· Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain an efficient, realistic production schedule based on customer orders, material availability, and capacity. Ensure alignment with production goals and customer delivery timelines.
· Problem Solving: Identify and address production scheduling issues, such as material shortages, equipment downtime, or resource conflicts. Collaborate with appropriate teams to resolve problems swiftly.
· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions to enhance scheduling efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve product delivery.
· Communication & Reporting: Communicate production schedules, updates, and potential delays to relevant departments, management, and customers. Provide regular status reports on production progress. Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
o Strong knowledge of production scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools).
o Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
o Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications: APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) certification or similar credentials (preferred but not required).
