BUSINESS UNIT:
Hadrian is a worldwide supplier of quality toilet partition and locker products. Hadrian was the first manufacturer to powder coat toilet partitions and has continued to embrace new technologies and materials in order to offer architects, designers and end-users more flexibility in design. Hadrian’s wide range of toilet partition products includes; powder coated metal, stainless steel, embossed stainless steel, and solid plastic. Lockers are available in Emperor (corridor), Gladiator (athletic) and replacement front styles.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Plant Controller is responsible for full cycle accounting, AR, AP and GL closing activities of three divisions. This includes assisting with the preparation of the company's financial reports, reviewing and preparing JE, balance sheet reconciliation, adherence to accounting practices and internal control framework. This position involves supervision over general accounting (AR and AP), fixed asset accounting, cost accounting, financial reporting, and cash management. This role is a Maternity Leave contract and has potential to go beyond the one year contract time.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
MONTH END CLOSING AND REPORTING
Lead/support month end close process as per corporate calendar and timelines.Manages the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.Prepare internal and external financial statements monthly for review by Director of Finance, including analysis of key performance indicators.Analyze monthly capital expenditures, inventory, revenue and expenses for accuracy and completeness.Completes monthly balance sheet reconciliation and analysis for all balance sheet accounts and entities as per corporate policies.Support for interim and year-end audit requests.Oversees regulatory reporting, including US and Canadian tax compliance at both the federal and provincial/state levels.FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS
Provides management with information vital to the decision-making process. Works with business units as a financial advisor (reviewing cost justifications, assisting with custom financial reports etc.).Develops and monitors business performance metrics.Develop KPI/Dashboards and Trends to support Business and decision making.Analyze Forecast vs Actual vs Budget, provide support to Director of Finance in the monthly forecast process.CASH MANAGEMENT
Responsible for reviewing AR and AP transactions including weekly payment runs and initiating EFT and Wire payments,Prepare Cash Forecast as per corporate policy.Ensure positive pay, review and clearance of exceptions.RESOURCE PLANNING AND TEAM MANAGEMENT
Provides effective leadership to employees by monitoring and assessing employee performance and providing feedback, training and coaching.Responsible for goals settings, review and 1-1 meetings with the team members.INTERNAL CONTROLS/ CONTINUOUS IMROVEMENT
Assesses current accounting operations, offers recommendations for improvement, and implements new processes. Implement/ evaluates accounting and internal control in the processes.Ensure corporate policies andMANUFACTURING ACCOUNTING
Evaluates the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed. JD Edwards power user, taking the finance lead in all IT projects/systems upgrades & modifications.Ensure standards are updated timely and accurately, responsible for Cost Rolls within JDE.SKILLS
