Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

The Plant Controller is a key member of the management team and is responsible for maximizing plant profitability. 

Analyze and Forecast manufacturing variancesPlay a key role in assisting Plant Management in driving productivity savings to budgeted commitmentsManage and coordinate the preparation of departmental and plant-wide budgets, forecastsProvide financial oversight and support for the physical inventory countsMaintain accurate records of all assets, liabilities and plant transactions in accordance with procedures and direction from the corporate controller’s officePrepare and maintain cost standards for all products producedCoordinate the preparation of the annual Capital Budget and related financial justification, expenditure control, and objective analysisEnsure that all reports, accounting data and monthly closings are completed to meet Operations and Corporate due datesWork with the Team Leader in meeting all corporate reporting requirementsAssist with internal/external auditsPerform other related duties as required

Who are we looking for?

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field – accounting preferred.At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing plant accounting and controlling.Ability to collaborate and teamwork.Good autonomy and ability to work under pressure.Ability to travel occasionally if required.Excellent communication skills, inter-personal skills, and ability to prioritize.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP knowledgeCertifications: CPA, CGMA or CMA
