Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, United States. This role involves crucial finance functions in an industrial setting. As a Plant Controller, you will be expected to manage and oversee the financial activities of our plant operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and adherence to relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions and safeguard assets.
• Establish and continually refine Standard Costing systems and processes.
• Generate and issue monthly financial records in a timely manner.
• Report on the financial results of the plant operations to both the corporate finance team and local management.
• Provide detailed supporting information for management to use in evaluating business activities and making necessary adjustments.
• Conduct detailed monthly analysis of cost of goods and operational expenses against plan and prior year, providing explanations and business solutions to drive the business and mitigate risks.
• Lead a rotational inventory audit, including physical stock count.
• Oversee plant-wide inventory control and management, performing analysis of variances identified during inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
• Provide guidance on data analytics and plant metrics for continuous improvement and best practice in overall cost recognition and control efforts.
• Develop the annual operating budget for all plant departments and ongoing financial forecasts, considering factors such as volume, headcount, and operating efficiencies.
Requirements
• Experience in 'Auditing' and overseeing 'Budget Processes' is required.
• Must hold a clear understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to develop and implement financial controls and processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
