Position SummaryWe are looking for a Plant Controller for our Dyersburg, TN facility. This individual will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing, logistics, procurement, quality, and IT functions for both operations: Manufacturing and Distribution Center. The Plant controller needs to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as technical knowledge. They should also be strategic thinkers with business acumen and be able to work at both a strategic and operational level. This role will be a direct partner to the Plant Manager in support of the company’s manufacturing and warehouse facilities.
Firestone Airide (FSA) is a global manufacturer of air suspension solutions with operations in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
This role will be onsite 5 days a week.
ResponsibilitiesOversees financial operations to provide controllership and financial direction focuses on short and long-term financial planning and/or financial analysis. This includes:
Analysis of internal financial information (e.g., profit loss accounts, financial statements, working capital, costs, prices, expenses, revenues, rates of return, etc.).
Analysis of external economic conditions and their impact on business operations (e.g., inflation, interest rates, exchange rates, etc.).
Financial modeling to measure and forecast potential impacts of financial transactions and corporate development activities.
Cost controlling to drive proactively strategies and finance discussion with stakeholders.
Ensure financial results from operations are reported timely, accurately and in compliance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Managing accounting activities, including accounts payable, capital assets, general ledger, and standard cost systems.
Provide input on potential changes to or the creation of policies and procedures for the assigned function.
Determining personnel needs, and training, developing, counseling, and evaluating employees under the function.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or economics.
Minimum 7+ years in plant controller or similar position supporting plant operations.
Experience working with accounting, treasury or other centralized services is preferred.
MBA and/or Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
