Plant Controller

As the Plant Controller, you will ensure Kellanova’s financial viability while engaging in daily direction setting at our Rome, GA plant.  Each day, you will be part of the leadership team, making financial decisions, reviewing performance, and actively providing direction to your finance team. To be successful, you will bring your analytical and financial skills to help the plant achieve success by meeting its goals and being a reliable and viable facility.

 

Not only will you be leading the site to financial success, but you will also be leading a team consisting of a Senior Financial Analyst, a Financial Analyst, and a Payroll Clerk as you build their capabilities to help them grow and develop their careers and ensure the facility's financial success.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

Manage Financial Performance—You will compare performance vs. budgets and forecasts, analyze results around key drivers, and focus on leading continuous improvement. Lead Financial Close Cycle – You will lead the financial close cycle along with the development of accurate operating expenses and balance sheet accounts. Drive the Annual Budget—You will oversee the plant’s budget, establish overhead costs, set standards, and manage operating profit and loss impacts and cash flow. Additionally, you will help support our payroll team and work cross-functionally to evaluate capital investments and savings projects. Be Part of the Leadership Team—You will be a member of the senior leadership team, where you’ll have the opportunity to set direction and guidance to meet plant initiatives and goals. Plus, you’ll provide guidance and coaching to personnel outside of the finance team. Ensure Financial and Inventory Compliance—You will validate compliance with Kellanova’s corporate accounting policies and general accepted accounting principles (GAAP) by instilling a discipline that drives sound internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures. You will be the primary contact for the internal and external audits.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

Bachelor’s Degree or finance and managerial experience. Knowledge of standard cost systems, cost analysis, and general accounting procedures and controls. Ability to become familiar with plant operations by visiting the manufacturing production areas to better understand operating processes. Excellent SAP and Excel skills.

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $128,320 - $168,420, which is based on various factors such as location, experience, and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
