A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Plant Controller for our Irvine factory within the Photonics Solutions Division, you will partner cross functionally across all business groups to drive the financial and strategic objectives for the facility. In this role, you will report to Senior Controller, Global Operations.
You Make an Impact By:
+ Support and collaborate with the local Cost Accounting and Business Unit Finance Teams
+ Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports for the site
+ Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions
+ Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for each of the Plants
+ Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve plant or corporate objectives
+ Share best practices across global finance team, e.g. process improvements, financial modeling and procedure changes
+ Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions
+ Collaborates with the Director of Manufacturing, Operations Controllers and Senior Management to explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations and lead the development of complex analyses
+ Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks
+ Ensures proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as local statutory requirements
Skills You Bring:
+ Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance and/or Accounting
+ 10+ years of related experience
+ Strong knowledge of US GAAP
+ FP&A and Cost accounting experience
+ Demonstrated expertise in MS Office
+ Ability to lead and motivate teams in a matrix environment to reach a common goal
+ Must demonstrate the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and character and promote ethical business behavior throughout the organization
+ Must be a team player and act cooperatively with the business
+ Demonstrate strong and pragmatic business acumen
Preferred Skills: (Optional)
+ SAP ERP software - experience strongly preferred
+ Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system is a plus
+ Good planning and organizational skills
+ Strong analytical skills
+ Experience in handling multiple concurrent tasks and meeting strict deadlines
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
+ Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
+ Requires good manual dexterity and coordination
+ Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
+ Must be able to exchange accurate information
+ The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
+ Operates in a professional office environment
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
+ Noise level in the work environment is usually average

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $ 160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
