Plant Coordinator

The Plant Coordinator will support the Argo plant as the primary on-site management presence on second and third shifts, weekends, and holidays. This role will ensure proper response to and resourcing for safety, environmental, or quality incidents and serve as the single site contact for off-shift incidents and customer/carrier communications, as well as prioritize maintenance resources and coordinate with unit personnel to execute against production priorities. The role will provide management support to all operating units, act as subject-matter-expert in specific operational areas, and monitor off-shift security activity to ensure the plant premises remains safe and secure.

 

Core Responsibilities:

· Overseeing facility production and coordinating maintenance and other support resources in accordance with plant priorities. Working with operations teams to ensure coordinated shutdowns for plant/unit outages to meet maintenance schedules and facilitating communication during both shutdown and start-up activities.

· Ensuring site personnel work in compliance with Ingredion policies and outside regulatory requirements and providing on-site direction where necessary.

· Providing single point of contact for off-shift information transfer for EHSS, quality, production, maintenance/reliability, and regulatory compliance concerns. Maintaining connection with operations teams and management stakeholders to support effective decision-making.

· Monitoring performance of key processes and summarizing through daily management. Providing management support in response to process deviations as reflected in KPI reports and process trends. Assisting operations teams in troubleshooting process deviations and resourcing for resolution. · Conducting required routine verifications of completed documentation related to operational Pre-requisite Programs (oPRPs) for compliance with FSSC 22000 standards. Initiating timely investigations, corrections, risk mitigations, and follow-up actions to ensure proper control of inventory and minimize resulting disturbances to the supply chain.

· Serving as Plant Emergency Coordinator and first responder to any emergencies occurring off-shift at the plant and acting as liaison between emergency personnel and the Company where required.

· Coordinating with rail operations to ensure fluid railyard operation and proper unit service level. Providing a communication path to escalate service failures where necessary.

· Ensuring excellent Customer Experience by providing timely response to customer and carrier inquiries, coordinating with customer service and logistics regarding emergency shipments, late deliveries, quality concerns, etc., to ensure clear feedback to customers.

· Initiating investigations and participating in Root Cause Analysis sessions for safety and quality incidents as necessary. Serving as subject-matter-expert in appropriate areas of operational experience.

· Assisting in and conducting safety and emergency preparedness inspections, drills, and other similar activities. Providing primary response for blood borne pathogen program including clean-up and notification of Area Management and Plant Medical.

· Facilitating secure access to plant storerooms as needed to support off-shift maintenance activities.

Qualified candidates will have:

· Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including effective performance in high-stress emergency and crisis situations.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate at all organizational levels and across functional lines.

· Ability to learn and apply Ingredion’s GMP, Quality and Safety standards.

· Willingness to work a demanding shift rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

· Experience with ERP software, such as SAP; specific knowledge of CMMS application preferred.
