Rafhan Maize Products Co. Ltd. (Ingredion Incorporated) is hiring Plant Manager Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), for Kotri site, who will be responsible to provide safe and healthy environment at the manufacturing site. The incumbent will work closely with Corporate EHS Manager in implementing EHS programs and initiative and will also provide support to the site management team in building a collaborative and self-sustaining zero-incident culture.
Core Responsibilities:
EHS Management & Performance - Execute various EHS programs and initiatives to drive EHS performance. Establish EHS improvement plans together with site management team and monitor completion. Use EHS KPIs, trends, metrics and conduct regular audits/walkarounds/inspections to ensure EHS performance and compliance.Risk Assessment - Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures. Develop and implement effective safety programs and initiatives.Regulatory Compliance - Nurture a culture that is fully aware and in compliance with federal and provincial regulatory requirements and transforming towards a behavioral norm of “Care First”. Ensure all EHS regulatory requirements are fulfilled that includes various licenses, permits and certifications in collaboration with the concerned authorities. Maintain and update local EHS procedures/guidelines/permits and records in line with corporate EHS-MSEnvironment Management Compliance - Stay abreast of relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. Ensure compliance with all Punjab and federal laws. Monitor industrial hygiene testing such as noise and air monitoring system.Safety Audits and Gap Closures - Participate in local and sub-regional EHS audits and take effective measures to mitigate all identified gaps.Incident Management - Ensure timely reporting of all incidents and injuries and make sure these are thoroughly investigated. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.Record Keeping - Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training. Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.Emergency Response - Maintain Site Emergency Response procedure (Red Book) and play an active role in Crisis Management committee. Conduct the required training of key staff to respond to crisis situations in line with the laid-out procedures and policies.Training and Education - Develop and deliver safety training programs for all employees. Serve as a champion for embedding Care First value and support bringing the company Purpose to Life. Collaborate with regional and local teams as well as with external stakeholders; support transparency, information sharing, and learning from failures.Continuous Improvement - Focus on staff safety awareness programs through planning & execution of effective EHS Campaigns. Identify areas for continuous improvement in safety practices. Implement best practices to enhance overall EHS performance.
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
7-10 years of experience in a leading EHS role with a multinational or with progressive process and manufacturing industryBSc Engineering (Chemical) or MSc (Environmental Sciences)Professional certifications in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, ASP/CSP)Desirable requirements:
Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining EHS management systems, e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001 preferredProficiency in carrying out accident investigations and facilitating safety trainings and workshopsAwareness of latest environmental monitoring & control proceduresKnowledge of industrial wastewater treatment & trouble shootingAbility to peruse all EHS matters in a pro-active & progressive mannerRequired behaviors and skills:
