Site Overview:The Irving, TX operation is the flagship and largest KDP cold beverage site in the USRB network.  Producing a wide variety of carbonated and non-carbonated beverages across a diverse range of high-speed production lines. The site operation will function on the foundational principles of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance); principles of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma; and the power of High Performance Teams. 

The Plant Engineerhasthe primary responsibility todevelop/implement capital improvement projects, and also manage the overall capital portfolio at the KDP flagship beverage manufacturing facility in Irving, TX.  Projects will becentered on equipment reliability/efficiency, introduction of new technology,facility upgrades and capital enhancements that contributes tosafety, quality, and throughput.

The Plant Engineeris a key link between the corporate engineering organization and the plant. Successful execution of this rolerequires collaboration with corporate engineers, functional leaders, contractors and vendors to implement the capital plan and generate buy-in with the site team. 

The Plant Engineer has a critical role indriving keystrategicsite initiatives, while helping minimize downtime and maximizing productivity.

Shift and Schedule: This is a full time position working 1st shift. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. 

Position Responsibilities

Prepares, plans and directscapital and expense project activities,including engineering design, quotations, scheduling, installing, and start-up, with the objective of completing the project on-time and within budget.Drives projects to successful completion, resulting in highly satisfied customers and effectiveproduct solutions that support the business growth objectives.Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipmentefficiencyand reliability.Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholders’needs and requirements continuously in view.Be engaged with industry trends and how to leverage new technology into design standards to drive profitabilityEstablish clear ownership for project tasks within the team and a clear schedule for when each task will be performed.Participates in technical audits and compliance assessments, and follows up on closure of remedial action plansOversee the installation of all capital relatedfacility equipment.Oversee work, set or edit standards, policies and procedures for Vendors and ContractorsManage financial aspects of theCAPEX process including annual budget development, capital planning and administration.Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the position. Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree highly preferred in engineering (or related technical degrees)3+ years of Manufacturing based experience (Food & Beverage or Pharmaceutical background preferred) and previous capital project management experienceUnderstanding of industry standards associated with Food & Beverage  Creative problem solverA record of success in implementing capital projects and managing a capital portfolioEffective interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, and organizational skillsSelf-motivated and able to manage ambiguity while implementing projectsAbility to prioritize work/projects and flexible to shift project focus based on the needs of the businessProficiency in Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint Company Overview
