Your Mission

Once the installation is completed (by the Project Engineering) and operated (by the Production and the maintenance technicians) it is the Plant Engineering who is providing the technical support for the user with respect to questions of required modifications, optimizations and possible problems. With the Plant Engineering team the Engineering department ensures continuous support for the installation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Plant Engineering team with the Site Engineering department ensures continuous support for the Takeda Neuchatel site installation.  The Plant Engineer F&U shall have a multi tasking/cross functional role whereby he shall be responsible for supporting the existing Plant Engineering team in maintaining the installations of Facilities & Utilities and he is a back-up Plant Engineer for the installations of production Fill & Finishing.

Once the installation is completed by project team and operated by the user Production teams, it is Plant Engineering who is providing the technical support for the user with respect to re-occurring problems, required modifications, optimizations and Continuous Improvements.

Additional, the Plant Engineer as technical expert shall shall support the  delivery of  projects of varying complexity that span the complete site operations and organisational boundaries.

Responsibilities

          Describe the essential daily job functions and include % of time spent on each.

Be the primary contact (Subject Matter Expert SME) for the users of the assigned installation  with regard to technical aspects.Provide expertise in systems and production equipment such as HVAC system, Water systems, WFI, Cooling system, Cooling lopp, Chillers, Process Gases and Building Utility Systems.Leads &/or Supports the design and qualification of improvements, changes or upgrades to the equipment/plant.Ensures proactively that the technical condition of the equipment, systems and installations are appropriate for use, proposing corrective actions to the user in case of weaknesses.Is organizing and coordinating corrective actions related to improvement and modifications.Ensure compatibility and consistency with existing organization and industry standards (cGMP, GEP, SUVA/ASIT etc.)Ensure that appropriate safety measures are taken to prevent all risks of injuryDevelops and applies engineering procedures and company standards.Ensures implementation of site, divisional and corporate procedures.Participates in internal and external audits as a system expert.Leads the Takeda Obsolecense programmeProvides appropriate training to services and usersParticipates in internal and external audits as systems expertRespect and apply the Takeda EHS rules
 

Education and Experience Requirements

          Include educational requirements or equivalency, required years and type(s) or experience, and

            necessary licenses or certificates. Specify which are required and which are preferred. For UK, 

            please do not use years of experience due to UK Legislation

Engineering degree (BS, MS or equivalent) in  mechanical/electrical  engineering, biotechnology and/or chemistry.7+ years experience in the Pharma/Biotech/Chimie or Energies industryGood knowledge of Construction & DesignGood knowledge of ectrical installationsExperience in the installation, commissioning and validation of pharmaceutical facilities, utiltities and process equipment as  as HVAC system, Water systems, WFI, Cooling system, Cooling lopp, Chillers, Process Gases and Building Utility Systems.Knowledge of Good Engineering Practices, cGxPs, FDA guidelines, ISPE guidelines, ATSME2500 standards.Good organization and communication skillsFrench and English (spoken and written), German a plusPLC/Automation (Siemens & Allen Bradley) programming  experience an asset.Computer skills: MS-Office suite and MS-Project and/or Primavera
