Plant Engineering Manager

As a Plant Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the Maintenance Department and project engineering activities at the Oakwood, Georgia latex paint manufacturing and distribution facility! This role is a key member of the Oakwood Leadership Team and the AF North American Engineering network.


You will report to the Plant Manager and work onsite at the Oakwood Plant.


Key Responsibilities
•    Provide a safe, healthy and productive work environment for all employees through accurate and timely maintenance of equipment and facilities.
•    Manage a 3 shift, 5-day Maintenance Support function; Ensure that each Maintenance Department subordinate understands and aligns to all applicable laws, standards, and policies.
•    Optimally lead associates, encouraging a continuous improvement of individual performance
•    Provide plant engineering and maintenance support for manufacturing plant and distribution center.
•    In collaboration with local staff, plan, coordinate, and manage the engineering and installation of capital projects to meet business needs in growth, maintaining existing capacity and/ or improve position in safety, cost, or quality.


Qualifications
•    Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering education with 7+ years of engineering project management and maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
•    Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
