As Manager Plant Engineering Services, you will be responsible for work, as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership, to plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the plant operations and facility maintenance functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and grounds in an operative and safe working condition. The Manager shall be accountable to the Senior Director or Director for planning and maintaining an effective organization, for administering labor and materials controls, for training of Plant Engineering Services personnel in safety and for other effective management practices. Coordinate the work of outside vendors and contractors, manage maintenance contracts for equipment and machinery. Serve as a change agent, role model, facilitator, and coach for team members on all shifts. Provide leadership in achieving ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency in the Plant Engineering Services Department.

Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.Experience: Five years experience in healthcare engineering and operations, required.Leadership or lead technician experience, preferred.Licensure/Certifiaction: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), preferred.Additional Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of principles in design, operation, and repair of various types of mechanical, plumbing, heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment, including hospital utility systems such as medical gases and fire alarm/fire protection systems. Knowledge in reading and understanding blue prints and schematic drawings. Considerable knowledge of building code requirements, electrical codes, fire codes, and regulatory compliance requirements for The Joint Commission, DNV, CMS, and other agencies. Skill in data analysis, organization, and presentation. Computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications. Ability to work effectively with physicians, administration, departmental directors and managers, nursing, and outside agencies. Strong leadership skills and work ethic. Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks, and to develop a self-directed work team. Responsibilities
