Plant Finance Manager - Gurnee
**Position Summary** The Plant Finance Manager has oversight of our Gurnee Plant accounting. This opportunity leads the accounting and activity at the plant, with a heavy focus on inventory costing as well as understanding product and customer profitability. The position will be based in Gurnee, Illinois. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Oversee the Gurnee accounting operations. + Ensure timely completion of month-end financial close, including review and issuance of monthly financial statements and analysis. + Lead department preparation and analysis of financial data and reports including reporting on variances from the budget and report significant issues to management + Present business results to senior management with a comprehensive understanding of the business drivers and opportunities. Work closely with plant operators and managers to fact gather material information relative to the business strategy + Hold financial review meetings when required. Provide results overview and drive accountability and ownership of revenue, costs, and initiatives + Develop key performance metrics, financial modeling, pro-forma(s) and benchmarking based on industry standards. + Analyze actual manufacturing costs and periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. + Manage daily transaction processing and directly prepares month-end close journal entries, financial statements, and reporting packages to Corporate. + Prepare and direct preparation of reports, which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations. + Direct preparation of budgets, monthly forecasts, and material for monthly business reviews. + Work with operations to provide timely and accurate processes for inventory control and management across the business. + Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting principles and procedures. **Education & Experience:** + Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field. MBA and/or CPA are preferred. + Minimum 7 years of accounting experience needed with substantial experience in manufacturing along with product costing experience working with inventory across varying cost structures. **Knowledge, Skills, & Talents** + An appreciation for detail-oriented management processes. + A desire to learn the company’s business and industry, coupled with a desire for continued professional growth and potential upward mobility. + Ability to work on multiple projects and simultaneously supervise staff + Ability to balance changing and potentially conflicting priorities & working with uncertainty + Strong communication skills for making presentations, developing and maintainingrelationships with ability to communicate complex issues in a crisp, clear and concise way is ideal. + Strong experience with cost accounting - planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor This individual must be self-motivated, results orientated and have the ability to organize/manage multiple tasks. + Ability to identify problems, formulate solutions, influence others, and drive results are important skills for this role. + Computer literacy with proficient use of Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) **Pay and Benefits** The estimated base pay range for this position is: $112,000 - $168,000 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, qualifications, skills and geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive program.
