We are currently seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician on 1st & 3rd Shift to join our coffee production facility in Philadelphia, PA. The Plant Maintenance is responsible for repairing machines and providing support regarding the usage of machines and electrical components and reports to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor. This role requires flexibility and interaction with all departments in the company and will encompass a variety of tasks.

1st Shift = M-F 5:30am - 2:00pm + OT including occasional weekends 3rd Shift = Su-Th 9:30pm-6:00am + OT including occasional weekends

$2.00/hr shift differential for 3rd shift

Responsibilities Perform scheduled production machines and equipment maintenance, including can filling/seaming, retort canning, and automated packaging equipment for milk processing Respond to and correct breakdowns promptly, communicate effectively with operators to assist in diagnosis, and prevent future issues Weld/fabricate to modify and repair vessels, piping, and other steel and stainless steel components Maintain equipment subsystems/components and assist with installations Diagnose and perform basic repairs to plant infrastructures, such as HVAC, water, steam, process gas, and low/high voltage power systems Read and fully understand mechanical and electrical drawings for process equipment and plant infrastructure Requirements

High-school diploma or equivalent, as well as some form of technical school is required. 

3 to 5 years experience in a similar role is required. 

Associates degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology and/or three or more years’ experience in a hands-on technical role is preferred. 

Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, industrial refrigeration is preferred. 

Basic fabrication skills such as welding, cutting, grinding, and machine work is a plus.  

Experience in HVAC; welding, electronics, electrical repairs, industrial equipment installations, alignment, start-up repairs is a plus  

Proficiency with computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Experience with CMMS systems is a plus.  

Physical Requirements : 

Ability to reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, bend over, etc.  Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small objects, boxes, etc.  Ability to be physically active for the duration of a 10-hour shift.  Ability to stand for 10 hours a day.   Frequently lift and or move 40+ pounds.  Occasionally lift and or move 75+ pounds with assistance

Compensation Range: $33.50 - $40.00, plus bonus.
