Dover Precision Components is hiring a Plant Manager for our Inpro/Seal business in Rock Island, IL as we proud to have been able to promote the current manager to become the new Director of Manufacturing Strategy at DPC. We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of permanent bearing protection and complete shaft sealing solutions for a variety of rotating equipment across multiple industries. The Plant Manager assumes overall responsibility for safety performance, productivity performance, delivery performance, financial profit and loss, and production quality. The Plant Manager is also responsible to continuously improve processes through CI activities, lean initiatives, employee involvement, drive and monitor the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field 5+ years of Operational / Plant Management experience within engineered product manufacturing Ideally within the oil and gas or power generation industry Experience with ISO or TS quality standards Proven experience of having P&L responsibility and experience within a multi-layer, long lead-time manufacturing environment
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Provide Leadership
Coordinate resources to satisfy both internal and external customers; to deliver superior products and quality service in a fast-paced environment that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations Oversee and direct all operations departments including Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service and Manufacturing Engineering; directs operations personnel in optimization of plant facilities and assigns maintenance priorities Promote the utilization of statistical and process visual measurements to manage the operation and deliver customer satisfaction and world class quality
Take Financial Responsibility
Responsible for P&L Statements, and daily reports to ensure continued growth in productivity and efficiency, with demonstrated ability to drive product margin and overall profitability, is preferred Work within and create new proposals for accurate workforce planning, operating expense, and capital expenditure budgets
Implement Continuous Improvement (CI)
Support the implementation and training of CI principles within a production environment. Implements best practices and improvements that have been identified by the Company, leadership, and employees Champion process improvement and lean manufacturing activities; oversees the implementation of best practices across manufacturing operations
