Description

This organization structure is a model that requires a strong plant manager. They must be a self-starter that drives a continuous improvement agenda; they must have an in-depth understanding of the business such that the right structure and the right people are deployed; an energy level and an attention-to-detail that routinely delivers the forecasted outcomes; the mental discipline, persistence and confidence to effectively function in a high-volume environment; the vision and leadership to revolutionize the shop floor using Lean and Six Sigma tools.

As a Plant Manager, YOU WILL:

Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectationsIncrease production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standardsBe responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shippingAllocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal resultsImplement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focusMonitor operations and trigger corrective actionsShare a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staffCollect and analyze data to find and eliminate places of wasteCommit to plant safety proceduresDevelop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assetsAddress employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreementsStay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

BS degree in Engineering, Technical, Business Management, or related field5 years plus managerial experienceLean/Six Sigma ExperienceProven Ability of managing P&L Financial StatementsProven knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertiseKnowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, and inventory Proficient in MS OfficeAbility to create accountability and to lead by exampleStrong team building, decision-making and people management skills

Our Cold Chain business unit, headquartered in Kennesaw, is the leading provider of electronic controls and optimization services for supermarket, convenience store, restaurant, and refrigerated transportation customers and the OEMs that serve them. The business unit is comprised of multiple acquisitions 
organized to add value to Copeland’s world-leading products through control, connectivity, and remote monitoring. The business generates half of its revenue outside of North America and employs over 1,200 people globally. Headquartered in the Greater Atlanta area, the business has major operations in Minnesota, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, China, and the Philippines. The Cold Chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork.
