Plant Manager

Join our Asheville, NC team as Plant Manager in a unique opportunity to lead a team of 125 associates in the wipes manufacturing supporting some of the largest customers and complex processes.  The Plant Manager will report to the VP of Supply Chain Operations NA and will be responsible for overall safety, quality, engagement, cost, direction of all activities concerned with product production and shipping, as well as leadership of continuous improvement (TPM).

What You Will Do:

Drive a culture that is consistent with Ecolab’s company valuesProvide exceptional leadership to direct reports and to the site as a wholeDevelops and aligns the local Supply Chain vision, mission, strategy and objectives with divisional and corporate strategy and objectivesAccountable for adhering to Ecolab’s, local and governmental guidelines related to SH&E, quality, regulatory, and the code of conduct/ethicsAccountable for the safety, quality, productivity, cost, and service of the Supply Chain and meeting KPIsManages the people, materials, equipment, and business processes to deliver site performance objectives, as measured by corporate and local KPIsEmpowers team by way of training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, appraisals, and delegation to ensure the development of people and organizational capabilities.Interfaces and liaise with corporate headquarters to manage communication and information flow between the plant and external environmentDevelops and implements strategic capital expense budgets to ensure long term technical and financial viability of the plant’s manufacturing processes and ensures alignment of the budget to divisional and corporate strategyAct as a role model of effective change management strategy, planning, and executionsDevelops and implements labor strategy in partnership with HRDevelops and executes a site master plan of the manufacturing and distribution facility as well as organizational capabilities, necessary to support future growthInstills and supports a continuous improvement mindset across the siteAccountable for the integrity of the business processes related to finished goods, inventory replenishment, and new product introductions

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering10+ years of Supply Chain experience5+ years of supervisory management experienceImmigration sponsorship not offered for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Technical degree or MBADemonstrated experience participating in large-scale business and culture change imperativesExperience in TPM or other continuous improvement methodologyAdditional functional experience in at least two of the following areas: Distribution, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and SH&E
