Plant Manager

Position Summary:

This position leads a strategically important plant that manufactures high-quality gears. The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all functions required to manage the manufacturing facility, including full P&L responsibility, including revenue, cost management, and profitability.

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure customer satisfaction by profitably and safely delivering high-quality products on time.

Plant Location and Description: 

Located in Twinsburg, OH, the plant manufactures gears primarily used for Aerospace applications and is a critical part of the Regal Rexnord Aerospace Solutions Division.

Responsibilities:

Plans, organizes, and controls plant operations, utilizing the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) and lean principles to achieve divisional objectives for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash Flow.

Leads, develops, and mentors the plant's leadership team, with overall responsibility for all employees reporting to the leadership team. Drives and influences strategic initiatives by addressing critical open positions within the organization.

Design and implement necessary improvements to maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized facility.

Conducts comprehensive capacity assessments and value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflow. Focuses on capacity planning and process analysis to enhance operational efficiency.

Through the Regal Rexnord annual Strategic Planning and Strategy Deployment processes, define improvement priorities which have the greatest impact on customers, stakeholders, and associates; deploy strategy to and engage the team to deliver on the strategic objectives.

Fosters a culture of associate engagement and associate development.

Represents operations in the Sales, Inventory, Operations, Planning (SIOP) process, driving growth by aligning production capabilities with market demand and business goals, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across all relevant functions.

Leads the business including the Engineering, Operations, Quality, Human Resources, Customer Service, Continuous Improvement, and Finance functions consistent with the annual operating plan for the Regal Rexnord Aerospace Solutions Division.

Supports New Product Developments by ensuring the manufacturing process is equipped to handle new products efficiently and effectively.

Pro-actively analyzes operational metrics, making and driving process improvements within manufacturing, supply chain, and sourcing.

Overcomes deficiencies in the deployment and momentum of lean management practices (Standard Work, Daily Management, 6’s) due to unfilled key positions. Reinforces continuous improvement efforts across the organization by effectively implementing RBS and lean principles.

Responsible for ensuring overall adherence by all associates to site quality systems and AS9100 specification.

Experience and Skills Required:

This position requires the applicant to be a US Person with a US permanent residence. A US Person is a US Citizen or green card holder.

Strategic AND tactical leader with strong communication skills.

Bachelors degree, preferably in Engineering

8-10 years of direct experience in business and operations leadership within a professionally managed regulated manufacturing environment.

Strong track record of implementing operations Continuous Improvement using lean tools such as Value Stream Maps, 5S, Standard Work, Kanban, Single Piece Flow, Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Production Preparation Process (3P), Strategy Deployment, Visual Management, and Daily Management.

Demonstrated senior level experience leading operational teams to achieve significant and quantifiable business results.

Strong team building skills and the proven ability to work with a diverse group of people.

Ability to engage associates and develop high levels of credibility and forge solid and positive professional relationships with subordinates, peers, and executive management.

Formally and informally communicates to achieve a shared understanding and build alignment with all levels of the organization including executive management.

Experience in creating and presenting executive level presentations using data-driven methodology.

Good understanding of financial reports and analysis. 

Strong cross functional management is required to be successful in this role.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with AS9100 or TS16949
