Plant Manager
**Job Description** The Plant Manager provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the organization’s Edina manufacturing plant. The Plant Manager is accountable for the overall performance of the manufacturing plant, including achieving performance objectives in factory safety, product quality, labor efficiency, manufacturing effectiveness, on-time customer delivery, and managing the plant within the established financial budget. As a member of the operations team, the Plant Manager is expected to: • Lead by example to support the company’s culture and values. • Collaboratively work with other functional disciplines to support a culture of accountability, mutual respect, and teamwork. • Perform the responsibilities of the position following the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The Plant Manager will assume accountability and responsibility for special projects assigned by the Vice President of Operations. Special projects may include initiatives that support the company's global strategy. **Hard Skills** + Establish production and quality control standards + Develop budgets & cost control initiatives + Plan and direct production activities + Direct production activities with Safety, scheduling, maintenance, and quality control processes + Review, analyze, and initiate corrective actions to production problems + Develop and implement improvements in operating methods, plant layouts, and procedures + Manage and direct all Safety Program activities + Screen, interview, hire, and onboard new hires + Performance management of factory personnel + Consult with engineering personnel for process improvements + Create operational performance reports + Resolve or settle grievances + Handle union negotiations and grievances + Develop and implement Quality Management System + Develop capital equipment business case and cost justification **Soft Skills** + Establish trust and rapport with employees, suppliers, and customers + Listen to feedback, concerns, and ideas + Delegate and empower the team + Continuously learn and grow leadership skills **Job Type** This is a permanent position. **Work Environment** Clean production environment.
