Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Plant General Manager is responsible for all plant operations, plant budget and implementing Forvia ES.
 
The main missions of the role are:
•    Drive continuous and breakthrough improvement through plant priorities and resources defined by the PIP (Plant Improvement Plan) and aligned with Strategic Plan business targets using the FES (Faurecia Excellence System) tools and methodologies to support execution
•    Ensure safety of all employees
•    Ensure permanent customer satisfaction and intimacy: quality and deliveries
•    Manage variable margin: set targets for direct labor efficiency and productivity, material cost consumption, scrap and rework reduction
•    Manage fixed cost: indirect labor/manufacturing costs/inventory variances
•    Review/support plant lay out for optimal flow and efficient use of equipment: capacity, reliability, operating costs CAPEX control
•    Support sales department for customer claims negotiation
•    Act within program team as early as acquisition to create best conditions for production, secure launches and ensure competitiveness/profitability of the new programs
•    Drive supplier performance improvement and material consumption reduction with purchasing department
•    Participate in Strategic Plan construction to confirm plant mid-term vision and future
•    Fulfill legal responsibilities and interface with local authorities
•    Secure internal control with the support of Controller and finance network
•    Ensure staffing, induction, training, empowerment and development of all plant employees including managers and professionals. Develop team and prepare succession plan
•    Interact with UAW (involvement in negotiations, 3rd steps, monthly meetings with union)
•    Manage social climate of plant
•    Support commitments established in the IATF standard
•    Owner of Saline Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and provides resources as necessary to be compliant with the NAO standards
•    Ensure full respect of HSE rules and regulations
•    Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company
•    Read, understand and behave in accordance to Faurecia Company Vision for Value Creation and Code of Ethics
•    Report any concerns related to Faurecia Company Vision for Value Creation, Code of Ethics Reporting Infringements section
•    Participate in training to understand and improve skills related to Faurecia  Company Vision for Value Creation and Code of Ethics

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:


Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management (Master’s degree preferred)


Experience:
•    At least five years of experience in an industrial environment (ideally in the automotive industry)
•    Minimum five years team management experience with leadership and coaching skills
•    Proven experience in production management and lean manufacturing / Forvia ES production system / Toyota Production System
•    Ability to build and manage a P&L budget (knowledge in Finance)
•    Results oriented
•    Above average communication skills and interpersonal skills
